The Songwriter
DOUG'S JOURNEY
BEGAN WITH MUSIC.
By the age of 12, he had discovered a talent for songwriting, and by 18, he had written over 1,000 songs. His first demo album featured Doug performing vocals and playing multiple instruments, with songs still aired today on niche radio stations globally.

In his 20's, Doug co-formed a country rock band that gained significant traction, performing live and eventually being signed by a legendary Nashville manager who had discovered multiple superstar acts - including the super group - Alabama. Doug’s songs and the highly talented band made it to country music radio and even charted.
​
​While the band ultimately disbanded, it’s notable that one member went on to become a multi-Grammy-winning producer in Nashville.
Doug’s passion for creation and performance has remained a cornerstone of his life.

God had other plans for him, and those plans involved leveraging his natural ability to inspire and communicate.

​Doug transitioned into direct sales, where his gifts in leadership, personal development, and public speaking made him an instant standout.

Eventually that led to training, writing, and consulting, where he began equipping others to unlock their massive potential. For years he did a syndicated daily radio show called The Millionaire Road.

By the late 1990's (before blog's existed) he launched one of the first online training article websites for home business, housing thousands of articles and resources. Today, Doug blogs on Substack and this website.

Doug’s endless writing talent extends far beyond music. In the late '90's he was writing training manuals for network marketing companies around the globe and then penned thousands of articles as an online learning resource for network marketers that continue to influence generations of networkers.

In 2005, he was heavenly inspired to write his first book, which he put on the shelf for years - but will soon be released for Christian entrepreneurs. Since then, he has authored nearly 100 books, covering topics like personal development, direct sales, business, leadership, communication, online success, faith, biblical success and more.​

Doug's eagerly anticipated Legend Book Series, also divinely inspired, and written over an eight week period during the lockdowns, is being released in 2025. This seven-book series along with their accompanying coaching courses are are designed to challenge individuals to break free from lower-level results in business and life, and aim for extraordinary success.​

​Doug's writings carry an impartation and he believes anyone can break records and shatter existing limits in the network marketing profession with the right belief, guidance, energy, and expectation. Doug and Jodi have spent over 20 years ministering in network marketing, in the marketplace and in the church.

Their marketplace mission has produced over 500 unique weekly PowerPoint lessons for a weekly Biblical Success seminar designed to equip business leaders and five-fold ministers to carry the Power of the Holy Spirit into the marketplace. During this time, Doug and Jodi earned their Doctorates, deepening their connection and understanding of faith-driven leadership and service in business, marketplace, and life.
